Hi there, 

I’m Sonya Parks, and I’m a trauma-informed certified Breathwork Practitioner, Alignment Coach, and (future) Aromatherapist.


I help women like you who feel constantly “on” release emotional and physical stress through somatic breathwork and personalized coaching so you can feel lighter, more grounded, and more in control of how you feel.


There’s a certain kind of woman I work with… 


The one who is used to having everyone rely on her. She’s constantly thinking, doing, and holding everything together for everyone else. And even though she’s doing everything “right”… she still feels overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from herself. 

She doesn’t feel like she can slow down, because if she does, everything might fall apart. 


I know this feeling more than you might think. 


During my time working in hospice care, I poured so much of myself into others for years. It was my dream job, but I found I was running on empty, pouring from a cup that had long since dried up. I had given so much of myself that there was nothing left. 


And then I hit a point where I couldn’t keep going the way I had been.


I found myself burnt out, depleted, and disconnected from myself and everyone around me. I would wake up in the morning, get my kids on the bus, and then go back to bed and sleep all day until they came home. I would make some type of dinner (often just a bowl of cereal) just to make sure they were fed, and then I would go back to bed again. This went on for months. 


I was so exhausted, but it wasn’t just physical. I didn’t feel like I was being a good mom or wife. I was constantly angry, disconnected, and I was stuck in a relentless cycle I didn’t know how to break…


And that’s when I turned to breathwork. 


Honestly, I don’t even think I had ever heard of breathwork before. The first session was hard because I felt so many big emotions. I actually ended up quitting halfway through. But after a little while, I noticed I felt better. So I went back, and after a few sessions, I started to realize there’s something more here. 


Breathwork became my lifeline. 


It helped me quiet the noise, release years of stored tension, and reconnect with myself in a way I hadn’t been able to before. It allowed me to move beyond survival mode and begin to feel a sense of alignment, resilience, and joy again. 


Through this work, I began to understand something I had never been taught—how to regulate what I was feeling. I learned how to move through life’s highs and lows without losing myself in them or shutting down, disconnecting, or reacting. 


I began to trust my inner voice, my internal compass, and what it was guiding me toward. 


And that changed everything.

After experiencing this shift myself, I chose to become a certified breathwork practitioner to support other women through the same process.


Through Somatic Breathwork and personalized support, I guide you through a process that helps regulate your nervous system and release the stress and emotional tension your body has been holding. 


Using your breath as a tool, we work with what’s happening in your body, not just your thoughts, so you can move through what you’re carrying instead of staying stuck in it.

Sonya Parks has been a breathwork practitioner since 2020 and has supported over 95 private clients and approximately 200 individuals through group sessions.

Trained through Soma+IQ and the Highest Self Institute, Sonya continues to deepen her work through ongoing education in nervous system regulation and aromatherapy. Her approach is grounded in real-life experience. After years of working in hospice care, she experienced deep burnout and disconnection from herself, which led her to the work she now offers.

She lives in Minnesota with her husband, their three daughters, dogs and chickens, and enjoys spending time outdoors and staying connected to what matters most. Oh, and a really good romance novel : )
